American Spirit Car Shuttle lets you take your trip without worry about the car shuttle.

Here is how it works: We gather your information from the reservation form you fill in on the next page and we send you a confirmation. You launch your boat or bikes and enjoy your trip. Your vehicle magically appears at the end-point of your trip, giving you more time to play. We shuttle your vehicle to the end-point right away.  We back your trailer in so you don't have to back it out in a crowded lot.   If you are launching after 4:00 pm we do not guarantee we will shuttle your vehicle the same day.

NEW! We have a storage lot in Whitewater and can now store your vehicle for the Gunnison River, (Gunnison Forks, Delta or Escalante to Whitewater). We do not store vehicles for Colorado or Dolores rivers.

Some helpful tips we have found which will make your experience smoother and more pleasant. So we may better serve you, PLEASE READ before filling out the form!

PLEASE DO:

  • Leave CASH – it is the only form of payment we accept.

  • Set the time for us to pick up your vehicle when you are confident we can take it with no waiting.  This is an appointment, on which we schedule our day.  We cannot guarantee we will be able to move your vehicle if you are not ready at the appointed time.
     
  • Call us as soon as you know you are running late.   Please respect our time.

  • If you cannot make the trip or have made other arrangements please have the courtesy to cancel with us immediately.  

  • Call us when you arrive at the ramp.

  • Make sure your vehicle and trailer, including all lights, signals and tires are in good working order. We do NOT make repairs.

  • Be sure your registration and proof of insurance are current and you leave them for us.

  • Leave the authorization (registration) for us to drive your vehicle, signed by the owner, which you printed after completing and before submitting your reservation form. Insurance does not exist which would cover us driving a multitude of unnamed vehicles. In the event of accident or loss, the claim will be against your insurance.  We will not drive your vehicle without written authorization.

  • If you have a key made for this trip please verify that it works to open the driver door and to run the vehicle when in gear prior to your trip.

  • If you have a proximity key, before you fill in the form please verify that your vehicle will lock and stay locked with the key in the location you will leave it for us and we will leave it for you.  Wrapping it in aluminum foil helps.
      
  • If you want us to use a code, please verify that the code works both to unlock and to lock the car. (Please include any necessary magic voodoo sequence needed to lock the car!)
      
  • Leave the spare tire(s) and jack where we can access them, and leave us the keys for any spares that are locked, including the trailer spare.

  • If your vehicle is 4x4 please leave it in the range you would like us to use while driving on the highway.

  • Secure your trailer tongue to the hitch with a pin or lock and chain it to the towing vehicle - it's the law!

  • Stow away loose items or secure them to the trailer or truck bed so nothing blows off on the highway.

  • Leave your vehicle with enough fuel to get back to a station after we drive it to the end-point.

  • Please include anything extra we should know about your vehicle in the "additional comments" on the form.

  • Forget to leave a signed authorization – WE WILL NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION.

  • Leave us a vehicle in poor repair - we do NOT make repairs.

  • Leave a check - we do not accept them.

  • If you need to cancel, please do not leave us hanging.

  • Assume you have a reservation unless you have received an e-mail confirmation or spoken with us by phone.

Please remember that after we crawl in the mud and stickers to find your key we will be sitting in your seat!  
Please use the terms "driver side" or "passenger side" and "front" or "rear" to describe the location.
If you have a proximity key, verify that you and we will be able to lock your vehicle and it will remain locked with the key in the location you have selected.
